When Niel is away...

.... the boys have to help me out extra hard.

Niel has been traveling a lot for work lately. When Niel is gone I really rely on the boys to help me out even more than they all ready do.

The past couple of weeks they have really done a great job.

Conner has made school lunches in the morning. This means he has to wake up extra early. Waking up extra early is not a favorite thing for Conner. He likes his sleep.

I appreciate his help!!

Gar is always willing to help out with cleaning the house. I don't even have to ask. I had to work late one night. When I got home Garrett was doing the dishes. He had also gotten himself in the bath tub. He had gotten Zander in the bath tub too. They were all washed and clean - and all smiles when I walked in the door.

I appreciate Garrett and his continued efforts to help keep the house clean and organized.

Stocks is super creative when it comes to helping out. He had to be SUPER responsible these past couple of weeks. I have to be to work early and Niel usually gets the boys off to school. When Niel is gone Stockton has to step in. Stockton made sure all the homework got done in the day. He LOVES to help Zander with spelling, reading, and writing.

He also made sure everyone had their coats, book bags, and lunches. He even made sure the dog as fed and the lights were turned off.

This was the little set up Stocks had made for reading time. It is a bunch of pillows and blankets set at the bottom of the stairs.

"Reading time needs to be comfortable" was he reasoning.

I appreciate Stocks creativity and brains to help with homework.

And I can always count on Zander to be silly and willing to do whatever his brothers tell him to do.... well, he listens most of time.

My New View

I have been working for my company for a little over 4 years. During those 4 years I have had the most fabulous view. Every time I look up.... this is what I would see.

Beautiful, Right?

I suppose I shouldn't be so selfish. I should want to share my beautiful view. But no, I don't want to share.

As things would have it all good things have to come to an end sometime. My company decided to build new offices so I had to move my desk.

Not so awesome.

This is my new view.:

My co-workers felt bad for me, so they made this awesome window view for me.

How sweet.

Almost the same but not quite.

Awards Night

We all got together to celebrate the boys football season. It was so great to see so many familiar faces!!

Garrett was awarded the Double Pick 6 Award. Yeah... the boy caught two interceptions and ran for 6 points. Another great point I would like to make is that no other team got a pick six scored on his team because he was in on every single tackle where the ball was intercepted! Go Garrett!!

Zander was awarded the Thumbs Up Award! Zander went in for a tackle and made it. The second the play was over, as he was still laying on the ground, he looked up at me and gave me a thumbs up. It was the cutest thing ever!

Stocks was awarded A Little Bit of Everything Award. He played just about a little of everything. He played on the offensive and defensive line, center, Linebacker, and also running back. He did a great job on each position. Way to go Stocks!! I had to really keep my eye out for him because I never knew exactly where he was going to play.

Conner was awarded the NFL Touchdown Award. He had the best touchdown I have ever seen. His body was flying out of bounds but he extended his arms and the ball made it over the line. AMAZING!!

To celebrate a great season we all went to see MegaMan. Guess what? It is a pretty great movie!!

Thanks everyone for all the support this football season.

Can't wait until next year!

So Easy to Please

Football season is over.

Yes... we are all sad!

Zander had a sticker chart he was working on. Every time he went to practice, and practice hard, we got to put a sticker on his chart.

I told him when he got the entire chart filled he could have whatever he wanted.

Zander has always been pretty easy when it comes to "things" so I wasn't overly worried he was going to pick something expensive. On the other hand I wasn't expecting what he requested.

He wanted a Darth Vador lunch box. How simple is that?

$14.59 (including shipping)
Purchased on eBay - which also meant no going out to shop for something

Life is so simple sometimes!

Happy Halloween - 2010

Another great Halloween celebrated!

Trick-or-Treating ended sooner than we hoped because of the rain.

But the boys were able to make a few rounds and come back with enough candy.

Zander is a ghost. Wanna know what is so great about this costume?
I wore it when I was his age!!

Conner just put a bunch of stuff together last minute. Looks pretty good!

It's hard for Gar to be the mean Joker - he is just to nice.
Here he is posing his best mean face.

The guy behind the mask is Stocks. Ang wore this costume a million times when we were kids. Stocks thought it was AWESOME! I just thought it was awesome we didn't have to buy anything this year.

Here I am at work with my co-works. The girls are "Salt Lake City Shore" and we are standing with our CEO. Our management team dressed up as warriors. As usual, they looked incredible!

Good times!!

Pumpkins

Carving pumpkins is always a favorite. I was surprised that ALL the boys wanted to carve this year. They were so excited.... even to scrape the seeds. GROSS!

I like to see how creative the boys can be. No using patterns - it's all about their own ideas.

I had told the boys to be extra careful. As a matter of fact, Zander and Gar weren't allowed to actually cute the pumpkin. They drew the face on their pumpkin and then someone a little older got to help them actually cut it out.

Little did I know that I should have done the same for Conner. He cut his finger!!

This one is Zander's. He was having a difficult night so he had to wait to do his another time. I thought he did a pretty great job!
