It's Friday!

Here we are.... long before we were ever Mr and Mrs Oscarson with a Big family. This is back when Niel and I were dating. Conner and Megan were 7, Stockton 4, and Garrett 2. This was the first group picture we took together. Zander was just a baby. He wasn't even there to play because he couldn't even walk yet.

Who would have ever guess how things would have turned out!

Who knew it would be this much fun!?!

End of Quarter?

I get asked ALL the time, "What do you do at End of Quarter?"

My family and close friends get to feel the stress of the big day. They are grateful it only comes around once every 3 months.

Well.... this is what we do:

Eat A LOT

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are all brought in. DELICIOUS!

We bench press Little Tracy to get rid of any stress me may feel.

And this past quarter some massage therapist came in.... DELIGHTFUL!

I bet you are wondering, "What the ....? That doesn't seem so bad!" ...and you would be correct. Those are some of the many fun moments experienced at End of Quarter.

But Conner's remark this past week was, "Mom, when is End of Quarter going to be over? You are SO behind on laundry!"

For about a week before the last day of the quarter, we are putting in 10 hour days. I start work at 7:00 am and finish at about 6:00 pm every day for at least a week.
Then, on end of quarter day I will work all day, barely leaving my desk. We are processing orders, making sure numbers match, trying to close enough business to hit quotas and do everything quickly and efficiently! My day will start around 8:00 and end around 10:00 or so... just depending how things go. This quarter, I left decent time. And once again, we had another successful quarter as a company.

And these are the people who are stuck with me for so many hours and get to deal with all the stresses.

A Day of Celebrating 6

Celebrating being 6 is so much fun! Especially when I think that this is the last time we will celebrate being 6 in our house. My baby is growing up so fast!

Zander decided he wanted a Nintendo DS instead of having a big party this year. He was SO excited when he opened up his present to find just what he had been asking for.

We went to Pirate Island with the family to celebrate. It was a really fun place. The food was delicious and the entertainment was fabulous as well!

Brooke, Rick, and Bryn all came to celebrate with us!

Grandma Dean was there too!

If you ask Zander what his favorite thing was about his birthday, he will tell you it was breakfast in bed. He was SO excited! He is so easy to please at times. A breakfast burrito with chocolate milk... yum!

Happy Birthday Zander!

Flashback Friday

My good friend Mindy posts something she calls "Flashback Friday" on her blog. I absolutely LOVE it! Since I am such a copy cat, I am going to steal her idea. I have only been blogging for about 2 years.... can you even imagine all the things I need to catch up on....laugh!

This is one of my favorite pictures. As a matter of fact, I love it so much it is framed up at my desk at work. I thought it very appropriate for the past St. Paddy's Day holiday. This was the first time we put tattoo's on for the green holiday. Ever since this day it has become a tradition. This picture was taken 5 years ago, March 17th, 2005. I love all the boys grins!!

Cooks

Stocky LOVES to cook.

If you know Stocks, you know exactly what I mean when I say he is such a thoughtful young man. He is always looking for things to do for others.....and he always has a special touch of doing it his way as well. He is one of a kind and very creative too.

A couple of nights ago I wasn't feeling too good. Stockton decided to cook dinner for everyone. He went to the freezer and pulled out chicken nuggets, french fries, and mozzarella sticks (maybe I need to have more healthy foods in the freezer). Next, he found some chicken noodle soup in the pantry because that is my favorite food when I am not feeling well. He cooked up a little something for everyone.

The crazy thing is, he does this all the time..... cooking and being thoughtful. What kid, at age 9 know how to make banana bread, rice casserole, and delightful grilled cheese .... and that is just a list of some of his favorites. He is real good at following recipes to make just about anything.

Zander was wandering about the house being bored. Being the fun big brother Stockton is, he asked Zander if they could make banana bread together. Stockton is so patient and caring. He let Zander put in most of the ingredients. Zander felt SO big!!! They even cleaned up their mess together.

Might I add that Stockton makes the best banana bread I have ever tasted.

I have never laughed so Hard

Brian Regan is by far my most favorite comedian. For Christmas this year, my incredible husband delighted me with tickets to his show.

The show was a couple of nights ago..... and I don't think I have ever laughed this hard in my life. Seriously.... laughing so hard that tears were streaming out of my eyes. I even wondered how my body was going to respond to SO MUCH LAUGHTER. It was awesome!

This clip is from a show a while back. He is just so funny!!!

Classic

On Monday nights Classic Roller Skating has an incredible family special. The cost is only $10 for a family of 6! CRAZY!! We can never do anything as a family for under $40.

We were there!
The only bad thing is that everyone else was there too. TONS of people. We still had a great time!

So much to do to..... so little time!

Anyone who knows me knows I like to stay busy. Here is just a few "busy" things we have been up to lately...

As a family, we love to watch the Amazing Race. Last season was one of our favorites.... especially with Flight Time and Big Easy gracing our television once a week.

These two athletes are so funny. Well, when they were coming to town with the Harlem Globetrotters, we couldn't pass up the chance to see them in person.

February 14th marked the 35 year anniversary of my Mom and Dad. We celebrated with a big Valentine party.

... and we spent a Sunday evening with Lisa (Niel's sister), and their family. They have a beautiful house in Ogden with an indoor basketball court. The kids absolutely LOVE Aunt Lisa and Uncle John's house. We all love seeing cousins.

Got to love a family filled fun life!
