Back to School

It's that time of year again!  I am not sure where the summer went, but it went fast!

It's back to SCHOOL!

Each of the boys have their own style!  Its so fun to watch them grow up and develop into their own person.  They all look so handsome and eager.... ready to learn!

Barber Zander

I just love Zander's beautiful hair.  He is proud of his hair style!  I especially like the way he admires himself in the mirror each morning.  He is so handsome!!

I guess Zander figured he needed a new look.  I think he was going for more of an edgy look when he took scissors to his hair and cut in this awesome jag look.

Unfortunately I wouldn't let him wear his new look to school so I told him we needed to shave it off.  He begged, cried, and pleaded with me to let him wear a hat every day until it grew back.  But I don't think there was any way around it ..... we had to shave it off.

He is now wearing his shaved head proudly.  That new look he was going for has been accomplished.  Not too bad... but I must admit I miss the longer hair!

Ops!

Niel went fishing with some friends!  Everything was going swimmingly until they drive home.  With the boat on the back of the truck he wasn't able to stop fast enough, swerved to miss the car in front of him, and hit this awesome pole.  Luckily, no one was hurt.  We were all glad to see Niel home safe and sound.

Check out the beautiful river and BIG fish!

Seven Peaks

Seven Peaks is one of our favorite ways to have fun and cool off!  We had passes this summer, but we didn't go near as much as we should have.

Several friends had passes as well!!  It was sure fun having friends to share our water time with!!

So this year we were a little late in celebrating Megan and Garrett's Birthdays, but a little early celebrating Conner, Stockton, and Niel's Birthdays.

We invited everyone over and just partyed as hard as we could!

Highland Parade

The Highland parade is our most favorite parade ever!

Mostly because we usually know someone who is in the parade.  It's even more great when one of our own kids in the route.  This year, Conner was in the parade for Student Body Counsel.

Instead of doing candy, his group decided to spray down the entire crowd with water! ....

..... so we got ready, and waited!

The kids came out blazing with water and sprayed us all!!!!

We got drenched!!!!

All the other floats gave out candy, so we all came home with a plenty of goodies!

Getting sprayed down was the best part though because it was SUPER hot outside!

Check out the police officer in the background waving in our photo.... too funny!

It must be August!

August means we are SUPER busy!  I will have to say it is my most favorite time of the year though.

Conner made the 9th grade A Team.  It's a completely different year for him.  The two Jr. High's merge together to make 1 incredible team!  He has new players, new coaches, and even new rules.  Conner has been practicing freaking HARD.  It's apparent with all the bruises he comes home with.  All his hard work paid off though, Conner earned the title of Captain for his team this year.  What an honor.  I was SO proud of him!  He definitely worked hard for it!

Stockton had try out this year as well.  Stocks got out and showed his strength.  He was determined, listened well, and kicked some major butt!  Guess what? .... all the hard work paid off, he made the 7th grade A team this year!  Woot-woot!!!  Look at his strength! Way to go Stockton!  I am proud of you!

Gman brought it all to try-outs this year!  5th grade is the first year the boys have to try out for a team!  This kid is FAST!  He showed off his speed and it must have impressed because he made the A team this year!  Garrett is determined!  He is strong!!  And he is incredibly fast and agile.  He is SO much fun to watch because he just feels football.  Again, so proud of him for doing his best and being so dedicated!

Zander looks like a little football player.  When he is out on the field, he knows what he is doing.  His muscles are incredible!  Zander has been working on his speed, and is doing so well!!  Not sure what he will be playing yet, but he has been studying to be Middle Linebacker!  He is excited and happy!  He is working hard and I am so proud of him!!
