A little break from Hawaii

Here are the directions: 1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember. This can be about me, or any related memory of my family.... 2. Next, repost these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It is actually pretty funny to see the responses.

I remember walking into Ruby River over 3 years ago and seeing you for the first time. I remember getting butterflies because I was suddenly excited about this date I was on, and I remember leaving the restaurant that day with this funny feeling that my life just got a whole lot better.

So many memories...which one do I put down...maybe 2? Maybe 3?

When I was in the first grade, I was playing on the playground and got hit by one of those metal swings that elementary schools use to have. Anyway, I was taken into the nurse's room and in no time Amy was with me. I was crying because my head hurt, but I wasn't afraid. I don't know what you said to me, but it calmed me down until dad came to take me to get stitches. That night both my sisters let me use their markers that were off limits (I had a terrible headache that I don't think I actually took the offer).

Here's a good one...Amy got really mad at me for some reason and kickied me really hard in the shin...I laughed at her efforts because it didn't even hurt. However, Amy walked away with a hurt foot for kicking me. I still laugh!

I know you are all jealous of me because I have the best oldest and middle sisters in the world.

I've seen a couple of times when your anger flared and I didn't like the dark Amy that took over. Do you remember when you and Cody/Cole were fighting over some video game and I threatened to take it away...you were what 18?
The creative side of you is always fun to watch as well...Amy the director behind the camera...FUN!!

Alright, I have been waiting for you to put this on your blog...Vegas last summer was a blast with you. We should do that more often and make sure Ang can come this time. Do you remember going up to some gig and eating pizza in SLC? It was you and Niel, Rick and I, and some of your friends. That was fun. There was a girls night out, you planned it, and you, Ang, Mary, and I went to a late movie. Oh, Pirates of the Carribean. Ang picked the movie. I fell asleep. Did you girls enjoy it? Watching dad and Stocks sing "50 Ways to leave your lover" at the Scera. You are such a talented and great mom. Not to mention sister! You have so many people in your life who look up to you. I am one of them. BTW, when are you going to get over here so we can go dirt biking? Huh? HUH?

I remember you ganging up with my parents and making me take a picture with a TREE when you were taking our family pictures. Wow, that was embarrassing. For the next 2 years, there were all my siblings and their spouses in their picture, and then me and my tree. VERY cute! I also remember that you made the whole picture taking process at our wedding way more fun!

I don't know if I remember exactly the first time we met at work, but I just remember that you were always friendly to me. I appreciated that being in a new job. Thanks for that! And I'm excited to build some memories with you today! Lunch and pedicures!!

It is hard to just right down one.
I remember when you would come visit for the summer. We were so excited that the Utah cousins were coming. My memory of you was so shy and reserved. But, I always thought how talented you were. I remember hearing you play the piano and wishing so much that I could play like you did..

As an adult I have a very different perspective of you, not shy and so much fun. I remember when you and I went to Cafe Rio to eat lunch. You met me there on your lunch break and we talked for about 2 1/2 hours. Luckily, that was a slow day at work for you. I love that you are one of my bestest friends. I love your kids and I am so thankful you are a part of my life!!

I remember that you used to love the color forrest green and I think you even bought a leather jacket that color?!? I remember that you guys always loved the 4th of July and would get 4th of July shirts and paint your fingernails to look like flags! We always thought that was so cool.

I always remember you with a camera in your hand and helping the kids to make videos at your house. My girls still love the exercise one and watch it and laugh.

I loved writing letters to you & it was even better when I got your letters in the mail. It was so fun to always know what was going on in your life. I also remember going to Lagoon with you and I was too chicken to ride the Collossus and you cried because I wouldn't go on it, so I finally broke down and rode it...it wasn't so bad after all. Matter of fact, it was a blast!

Amy! I love you! I've been spending a lot of time just reading through your blog. It's been a long time! Conner is SOOO big now! Oh my gosh! You look so happy. I'm glad.

I really like the before/ after pictures you put up of your livingroom and bedroom. They look very nice. I wish I could just go to ikea and shop! Maybe in 20 years.

As for my post--I correct it. Jayden was only 6 months, I see! I was just going by memory when I wrote that. I love your family so much and am glad you got in contact with me. Blogs are awesome.
