Let Freedom Ring!

It amazes me how much FUN we can squeeze into one day!

I LOVE the 4th of July Holiday. It is my favorite holiday!! This year has to top off as one of the most memorable Freedom Days (weekend) yet.

Saturday morning was spent taking family photo's (post is coming soon)!

We had a quick BBQ to celebrate Garrett's Baptism.

Then of course we all went to Garrett's Baptism.

We got home to change our clothes, do a load of laundry, and then head over to the Provo Temple lawn to watch the fireworks.

Zander is so funny. He loves for me to hold out the camera and take a picture of both of us. I count out loud so he knows when to smile. "1.... 2.... 3...." then click. Zander surprised me this time, right when I said "3" he kissed me on the cheek. Ah, he is so cute!

We all enjoy hanging out on the lawn and play games. We got some subway on our way in and had a little picnic. The boys played soccer, football, frisbee, and wrestled each other. Megan listened to music....

.....We all played cards with Grandma and Grandpa. We taught them how to play Gin.

We light sparklers until someone told us we were not allowed to ..... dang!

Then we sat and watched the firework show. It was spectacular!

On Monday we did a bunch more things....

Me, Garrett, Niel, and Conner all ran in the 5K Freedom Run. Stockton did the 1 Mile.
You can see our results here!
This was Garrett's first 5K. I was so proud of him for staying positive and running. It was a fun to cross the finish line with him. Conner got his best time:
26:25
Niel ran with him.
Stocks did so great too! We didn't get to see him cross the finish line but he ran strong.

After the race we headed to the parade. The weather was perfect out. Not too hot and no rain. It was nice to be with family and enjoy the event.

After waiting to eat lunch at One Man Band (it took over an hour to get our food), we had just a little more fun!

We laughed a lot....

....Swam a little

AND set up a LONG Slip and Slide!!!

Talk about having a fun time!!! I had no idea 3 tarps, a few tent pegs, and one hose could be so so entertaining!

Sometimes too much fun can be a little dangerous. Rick tore it up on the slide.... literally. OUCH!

All the family came over for a second BBQ.
It was a great holiday!!

Happy 4th of July!
