U2 3D

Gus and his wife Jen took us to see U2 3D at the IMAX theater down in Montery Bay. We had a great time! It was just like we were at the concert!!!

This is the new look that is coming to Utah!!!

Either this Belgium Waffle is large or Alayna is very small. Either way, it was a delicious breakfast at Bill's Cafe!

We took a nice stroll at Almaden Lake Park. It was a nice way to spend Sunday afternoon! San Jose is a beautiful spot!

Alayna

Guess where we are this Memorial Day weekend?

Niel and I finally got to meet Alayna!!! We are in San Jose California with Ang, Patrick, Arianna, and Alayna. My oh my.... she is adorable! Arianna is the best big sister ever!!!

We went to one of the coolest tourist attractions I have ever been to. The Mystery Spot was pretty incredible!

This is the only time in my life when I am actually taller then my little sister! Doesn't she look great for just having a baby 8 weeks ago?!

We are standing upright. I am serious.... we are!

We are having a great time! More pictures to come!

Scary Ants

Zander is scared to death of Ants! Oh... and he is scared to death of flies, spiders, bees, worms, cotton balls falling from the tree, and birds. I am a proud mother who has a big, tough, large, scared little boy...haha!

I took this video just after Zander had a very emotional screaming outburst when he saw a tiny family of ants on the sidewalk. I wish I could have gotten his first reaction. I thought he had gotten hit in the head with Conner's pick shovel.

At first I thought this new phobia to be very funny, but when he won't even walk from the house to the car or when he can't come in from the trampoline without someone holding his hand, his new phobia has gotten to be quit frustrating. Any one have any ideas?

Jayden Angelyn Quiring
November 12, 1998 - May 17, 1999

Nine years ago today brings another slew of emotions for me.  I have debated all day whether to post or not.  This was the worst day of my life..... and I hope I don't ever have a day that beats this one out.  I figured instead of posting something gloomy and sad, I would refer to you Ang's blog.  She said is all so sweetly and she made me smile.

I miss you Jaydee!!!

May 16th, 1999

Nine years ago today holds a lot of many incredible memories for me. A day I hope I can remember all my life. I have been thinking about this day, nine years ago, for several days now so I thought I would blog it.... maybe help me to remember this before I get too old and can't remember.
It was a Sunday....and it was Joel's homecoming ..... and it was Joel's birthday! My parent's house was filled with friendly faces. Family and friends had traveled from afar to see Joel and hear of his mission tales. Brooke and Ang both gave talks. I am pretty sure Misty sang a musical number (see... I am all ready forgetting). Then it was Joel's turn to speak. He got up and told about how his mission had changed his life. I remember him telling the story about when he knew the gospel was true. He had gotten in some trouble and was on his knee's praying. It was at that point he made the decision to change his life for the better. Lucky for me, his change meant moving to Utah to live with his Uncle Rick, Aunt Dot, and three silly girl cousins. Ah... I love that story!! I didn't have a brother, so having Joel come live with us was the closet to a brother I have known. What a blessing and example he was to me of true love, hard-work, patients and determination.
"I actually feel like I am finally doing something worth while in my life" Joel's letter to me while on his mission.

After sacrament meeting everyone migrated over to my parents house for food, fun and conversation. Grandma Dean and Lori had come up from New Mexico. Jared and Krista were also there.... I hadn't seen them in ages!! Uncle Vic, Aunt Sandy, Melanie and her family, Amber and her family. Uncle Ron and his family. Summer and Lindsay. Even some of Joel's old friends were there. It was quit a day. Plenty of delicious food and enough conversation to keep the house at a low hum!

As the day moved on we congregated upstairs to the TV room. The Utah Jazz were in the play-offs. It was game 5! The Jazz had won 2 games and the Sacramento Kings had won 2 games. John Stockton was my favorite player back then (my Stockton wasn't born yet). Joel was a big reason why I liked the Jazz so much. He had gotten me watching it and I was hooked. I sat on the floor because the room was so full. We all cheered loudly and booed even louder! I had little Jaydee on my lap the entire time.... we were enjoying the game together. She was playing with a plastic water bottle. She would hold it in her hands and then drop it and giggle.... just waiting for me to pick it up and give it back. Such a simple game to keep her entertained while I watched the game. The Jazz won! What a grand victory! But mostly... what a great day! I love my family and being together that day was a blessing to me. A day spent with happy faces and happy times.

Below is one of my favorite pictures of Joel. This picture was taken August 25, 2000.... just a little over one year from the day described above. So much happened between that short time. Joel met Kristy and her kids. Together they had wedding plans set for the following month!! Many things had happened in my little life too. That was the hardest year of my life by far. Each of those difficult times I remember Joel being there for me. And here he is again in this picture.... but this is a happy memory, my favorite kinds of memories. This is Joel, Kristy, Sara, and Sam coming to see baby Stockton in the hospital. What another great day that was!

I love you Joel! I miss you so very much!! Thank you for being a part of my many memories! Happy Birthday!!!

Mother's Day weekend!

This Mother's Day was a super busy one for us here at the Oscarson home. Anyone who knows me, I like things busy. So it was perfect!

We started Saturday morning with a bunch of giggling, hippie looking pre-teen girls. Megan celebrated her 11th birthday 70's style. It was fun to meet her friends and watch her interact. "Girls sure do talk a lot" ... was Conner's comment.

Right after the party we jumped in the car and headed up past Nephi for some 4-wheeling fun! We got there a little later then everyone, so we missed hanging out with my mom, Rick, Brynlee and Jolene. But Elaine, Russ, Kam , and Steve stayed a little longer with us. We had the time of our lives! Seriously, I have never ridden 4-wheelers like that before. I want to go again!

Sunday evening we had the two most wonderful mother's over for dinner. These two women leave me in awe! They are incredible!!! I love Mother's Day because it is a day I can honor my Mom and Joyce. It was so great to have them over! Niel smoked some yummy ribs and BBQed some delicious chicken. YUM!

What a better way to end the day! Conner and I love to play Rockband together. All the boys like playing, but Conner will let me play drums! Plus, he tries his best to be patient with me.

It was a perfect day! Conner made me breakfast. Niel even went out of his way and bought me a necklace. I am a super picky jewelry person. So far, he has made two attempts with jewelry. One was my perfect wedding ring, which is beautiful. Now I have a pretty necklace that I love too! Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mothers!

Family Fun Run

This past Saturday we all got to participate in a family fun run. Each member of the family got to take a turn running and competing. First off, Niel, Me, and Conner ran a 5K (3.2 miles). Niel crossed the finish line in 23 minutes.... he sure is fast! Conner and I finished at 31 minutes. Once again, Conner was one of the only 10 year olds.

Stockton and Garrett ran a 1/2 mile. They both did an excellent job! There were plenty of kids running in these races. Half a mile is a pretty long run for younger kids. Garrett actually took 2nd place in his age group. We are usually trying to keep up at home. He lived up to his reputation! He did such a great job. And Stockton kept right in the race. It was a true joy to watch them both. I was very proud of them!

Even Zander did a little run! His race was 1/4 mile. Grandpa Dean encouraged Zander the entire way.... running right beside him. Zander wanted to give up about half way through, but he was all smiles as he crossed the finish line. It was a very fun morning!!!!

Happy Birthday Megan

Dear Megan,

I remember the very first time I met you. I brought Conner, Stockton and Garrett to eat with you and your dad at Carl's Jr. I remember climbing through the kids playground area and chasing you all around!! I also remember thinking what a beautiful girl you were and how much I hoped to get to know you better. You were only 7 years old then. Now you are growing up so fast and you are as beautiful as ever!! The best part is, I get to continue watching you grow up and being a part of it!

I loved it when I pick up Zander on Wednesdays and he is so anxious to see you. He gets all upset because I am not driving fast enough. It is nice to not be the only girl in the house. You are so very talented. This year was extremely fun to see you perform in the Children's Choir in Joseph and the Amazing Colored Dreamcoat. You were sensational! I am looking forward to many more plays in the future.

You are coming along on your piano playing talents! I love to hear your songs each week and watch you progress. Piano has always been something I loved through my childhood.... I hope you will as well. You have a good ear for music, both on the piano and also in your voice. Singing karaoke at Grandpa's house is one of my favorite things to do together with you!

You bring a little sugar and spice and everything nice to our home! Your smile is contagious. You are incredibly helpful and the love you give each member in the family makes us each feel special. You are great to just jump in and play tough with the boys. They love it! There isn't anything I enjoy more then watching you all play together.

I love you Megan. I love your smile! Happy Birthday!!!!

Love,

Amy

Happy Birthday G!

Dear G,

It doesn't seem that long ago I was calling you "little g" and you had to correct me, saying "Mom, I am not little anymore. Call me Big G." You are right, you sure big now.
This year you have grown leaps and bounds. We have so much fun together. I love your excitement to try everything. You jump right in with the big boys and play football, baseball, football, and basketball. You absolutely do not like to lose. Your competitive nature is amusing to witness at times. You are tough and rough.... and quick too!
It was hard for me to watch my little boy heading off to school this year. Even though you were slightly afraid to enter school this year, you were so very brave. Dropping you off at school was a memory for me to remember. I could tell you were scared, but you were determined to do it. I put you in your chair, sat with you for a little while and then told you I had to go. You had a small tear in your eye, but you looked at me with those brave eyes and told me good-bye. When I got to the door you quickly glanced my way and blew me a kiss.... then you turned around and were ready to face your world. I am so proud of you!
When others talk about you, they comment on your happy smile and desire to be kind to others. Those are excellent traits to have at such a small age. I love to be near you. I love starting my day and ending my day with your sweet hugs and your beautiful smile. You are such a handsome little man.
Happy Birthday! Thank you for brightening my life!! I love you very much!

Love,
Mom

Good friends and good hunting

Since I can't stop talking about the turkey hunting, Amy is insisting I sit down and write about it.

The saga started six years ago when Steve and Troy and I figured we would try our hand at turkey hunting. In Utah you have to draw for a permit, but we figured it couldn't be too hard to get one of those tags. Well, six years later Steve and I finally drew our coveted tags. (Troy got his turkey a few years earlier). We worked off a tip from my brother-in-law Patrick and decided to hunt by Monticello.

Steve and his wife Megan dedicated their weekends to scouting out the area and finding the big Toms. I couldn't convince my Megan that she wanted to spend her weekend hiking around chasing turkeys, so the hard work was left to others.

Steve did a great job and knew right where to take us. Opening morning we looked out over a field full of turkeys. The adrenaline started pumping and we were sure the action would get exciting fast. We got out in front of the feeding birds, set-up the decoy, got cammoed up, and Steve started calling. We waiting breathlessly...and got....nothing. Not a gobble, not a bird, not a sound. We never saw those turkeys again.

We spent the rest of the day hiking and hiking, pushing barefooted Australians driving a rented jeep out of a snow drift, and hiking some more. In the late afternoon we decided to go back to our original spot because we at least knew birds were around.

We set up the decoy and settled in for what we thought might be a long wait. However, it didn't take long before turkeys started appearing out of the woods. First one, then another. They didn't venture too far from the trees but they were there. Turkeys are very wary, and any movement catches their eye. One bird busted me as I turned to look at Steve and was long gone.

Finally, after about 3 hours of sitting a group of hens came out in front of us. A tom slowly followed them...I could hear Steve whisper "That's a good one. It's a shooter", and that got my heart pumping. It took another 20 minutes of calling and patience before he finally walked in range and stopped right in between the two trees that were breaking up my line of site. I laid the bead on him and squeezed the trigger and down he went. It was only about a half hour before dark so we drug the bird back in the trees and watched the rest of the turkeys fly into the trees to roost (a pretty comical sight).

The next day Steve shot his turkey. We were both happy campers and couldn't have asked for a better hunt. I don't get to spend as much time with Troy and Steve as I used too, and apart from the thrill of the birds in our sight, the best part of the weekend was spending time with them. Steve really went the extra mile to get us into the best spots. (His wife Megan was probably the best sport of all...she saved our bacon in one very important way...)

Amy was also great...when I got home she was very excited to see the tail feathers and the feet and listened to the whole story. She showed all the right excitement and it was fun to tell her all about it.

It was a good memory, hopefully it won't be six years before we can do it again.

Here are a few pictures.

Home Alone

For the first time since Conner was born, I was home alone... by myself.... for 3 days and 2 nights!
Niel headed on down to Moab to do some turkey hunting with his best friends. The boys are still in Montana spending Spring Break with the Quiring side of the family. That left me... home alone.
I am not used to being all by myself, and I will have to admit, I was slightly worried about how I would handle it. Would I get bored? What was I going to do? Well.... I had a BLAST!

I had planned to do some homework..... but you know how I am with homework. I despise it more then cleaning the toilet! I figured my distraction from homework would have to be good since it is finals week and I am really far behind. Wouldn't you know it.... I found a big distraction...... OUR BEDROOM.

On Friday I went to IKEA for the the first time. I think Niel would agree with me when I say it is a good thing it took me so long to find this store. IKEA is pretty incredible. I could spend a lot of time there.... and a lot of money. While I was in the store my creative juices began to flow.

Here are a few pictures of our bedroom before. It was pretty messy and in need of some attention. The poor bedroom got an entire make-over!

(Caution... some of these pictures display a pretty messy, unorganized person. Please do not be alarmed!)

BEFORE:

Take a good look at this dresser.... you won't recognize it again!...haha!!!

AFTER:

Here it is... the new dresser. You may be wondering where the TV went, as this was Niel's first question. The TV broke, so I guess that means we will have to get a new one!

Just a little commentary on the books. I am sure you have heard the comment, "A women and her shoes!" well.... I am starting a new one for Niel, "A man and his books!" The books on the shelves are all books Niel is currently reading, has read, or plans on reading from the past 6 months. We have a bunch more books down in the storage room. When we got married I wasn't asking Niel to give away his favorite ugly chair or the prized, stuffed, mantled deer head. I asked him to go through his books and get rid of the ones he doesn't want anymore. I swear, we could have started a library of our own. I am not complaining.... reading is a very great hobby.... we just don't have enough room in our house for 5 kids, a dog, all my shoes..... and his books!!! Niel... you know I love you!

I had a great weekend!!!! I think everyone should go and leave me alone a little more often, well, maybe not too often. Being home alone is only nice once and a while. The house was almost too quiet. Niel had a great time hunting too. Stay posted for his rendition of the weekend.... with plenty of dead turkey pictures!

Oh, and if you don't hear from me all week it is because I am finishing up the semster.

Vegas Babe!

We were bored.... we we went to Vegas!!!!

It was Friday night and the boys were getting ready to enjoy Spring break in Montana with their Grandma Becca. There was plenty of "jobs" to keep us home.... like painting the deck or doing homework. But really, who wants to do that kind of stuff on a nice weekend? NOT ME! We packed up our stuff, sent the boys on their way, jumped in the car and drove on down to Vegas for a good time. We stayed at Mandalay Bay and went swimming. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory.... Megan even tried sushi! We went to see Phantom of the Opera.... that was awesome! Then, Megan let us give her our tour of Vegas... she was such a good sport. Megan and Niel even went shopping with me! It was a great, spontaneous trip!!

NCAA Winner!

As a family tradition we each fill out an NCAA bracket. The person who fills out the bracket with the most winning teams gets to choose the dining place of thier choice. Mr. Niel Oscarson won this year. He even got the final two and the over all winner correct! I was very impressed!! This is a picture of us at Guadalahonky's eating some delicious mexican.... and Niel basking in his victory!!

Basketball in the snow?

We all saved our money and made big plans to get a basketball court in the backyard. All the boys, including Niel, were just waiting for the the ground to thaw so the cement could be poured. Winter seemed to never end, but finally the snow melted and the weather was nice. Right away we had the cement guys come out and get to work. It took about a week for the masterpiece to be finished. When it was, what a sight it was to behold. As our luck would have it, that was the only week of spring. That very next day it snowed. And the day after that is snowed again. If it isn't snowing, the wind in blowing like crazy or the sky is dropping tear drops.
The weather isn't keeping the boys inside though. Conner is outside everyday.... with gloves, coat and a smile on his face. He comes back inside with a pink nose, but he sure is happy. The snow will not stop him.

Garrett is so upset that it is snowing!!! He wants it to be spring all ready. I feel the same way. Afterall, it is April and we are dying to get rid of this white stuff!

Happy 4th Birthday Zander!

Dear Zander,

A few days ago you turned 4 years old! I can't believe my little baby is really 4!!! Looking back upon your 3rd year brings much happiness and also much wonder as to how we all survived! You have more personality then any other 3 year old I have ever seen. I am quoting Niel, "The holy terror or the great joy!"

I love you to pieces and feel incredibly blessed to have you in my life. There have been many "I love you mom!" 's when my day has been so difficult and there you were with your happy smile and big hugs and kisses. I love how you can make people happy just by walking into the room. You speak exceptionally well for your age. This is a good thing for the most part because you can express your feelings for us all to understand. I also find it very interesting how you can play with kids your age, but also jump right in with others older then you. Maybe you just had to learn that since your brothers are so much bigger then you. They sure are tough on you at times, but you seem to hold your own. They better watch out though.... I see your little muscles and they are going to be big muscles soon enough. It won't be long before you are as tall and big as Conner.

I love you Zander! I love your little spirit!! I love the positiveness you have!! I love that you are my son!!! I look forward to many more years and many great happy memories with you.

Love,

Mom

Our first 5K in 2008

There are moments in a mother's life when she is so proud of her children. I had one of those moments with Conner. Since I met Niel, we have been running here and there. It is a great way to stay in shape! This year, Conner decided he wanted to give it a try. We all registered for the Utah Valley University 5K. Conner, Niel and I have been kind of training to get ready, but mostly this was a challenge to encourage us to get going so we could be in shape to run at least one a month this coming summer. For Conner, this was his first 5K ever. I was overjoyed he wanted to do with us. Conner was very nervous but very determined. He wanted to finish under 30 minutes, which would be an excellent time for someone running their first one.
The gun went off and off our feet carried us. Niel is a fast runner so he got a head of us pretty quickly. We hadn't even gotten into the race a mile and I was out of breath. Conner wanted to keep going though. So, I slowed down and he kept chugging along. Niel crossed the finish line coming in about 25 minutes. Conner crossed the finish line at about 29 minutes.... kicking my butt as I crossed at 33 minutes. I guess I am not as good as I once was...laugh!
I was so proud of him for setting his mind to something and completing it. He is a very determined young man. He was very tired and sore when the race was over. But I am very impressed with his strong will and hard work. Good job Conner! Way to go!!!!

Different Drug Problem

The following letter was posted on my managers cube at work. I enjoyed it and thought I would post it.

The other day, someone at a store in our town read that a Methamphetamine lab had been found in an old farmhouse in the adjoining county and he asked me a rhetorical question, "why didn't we have a drug problem when you and I were growing up?"
I replied, I had a drug problem when I was young: I was drug to church on Sunday morning. I was drug to church for weddings and funerals. I was drug to family reunions and community socials no matter the weather.
I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults. I was also drug to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents, told a lie, brought home a bad report card, did not speak with respect, spoke ill of the teacher or the preacher, or if I didn't put forth my best effort in everything that was asked of me.
I was drug to the kitchen sink to have my mouth washed out with soap if I uttered a profanity. I was drug out to pull weeds in mom's garden and flower beds and cockleburs out of dad's fields. I was drug to the homes of family, friends and neighbors to help out some poor soul who had no one to mow the yard, repair the clothesline, or chop some firewood, and, if my mother had ever known that I took a single dime as a tip for this kindness, she would have drug me back to the woodshed.
Those drugs are still in my veins and they affect my behavior in everything I do, say, or think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack, or heroin; and, if today's children had this kind of drug problem, America would be a better place.
God bless the parents who drugged us.

Hero for the Day!

It was one of those days.... you know, when nothing is going right! It had been a crazy morning at home. I had gotten to work at 7:30 only to have five phone messages and several emails just awaiting a response. I knew right away it was going to be a long day. End of quarter always makes for a busy day.... filled with much stress and anxiety. For one reason or another, I was really feeling the stress of life and sitting at my desk, staring at my computer, I could feel my anxiety catching up to me.... and getting the best of me. I couldn't wait for lunch time! It was going to be great to take a break, leave the office, and enjoy the beautiful weather outside. Noon time came around and I practically ran outside. I jumped into my car and began to drive. I hadn't gotten very far at all when a guy started honking his horn and waving his arms. He was trying to get my attention. It was then I read his lips, "YOUR BACK TIRE IS FLAT!" Ugh!
I pulled over to the side of the road, and sure enough, the tire was extremely flat. It was very apparent it had been flat for a while, probably from the night before, and I had driven over 25 miles with a flat tire, causing the tire to be completely worn. I knew I wouldn't get far and I also knew I would have to go back to work because as my day would have it, I had left my cell phone at home.
I went back to work. I was trying to figure out what I was going to do. I am not the greatest tire changer, especially on an SUV. I knew a few basics, but I also knew I would need some help. I looked over my cube and saw Rick was sitting as his desk. Rick is my brother-in-law, Brooke's husband. I knew he would probably help me. Sure enough, when I asked for his help, he didn't even hesitate.
Once we got to my Trailblazer we began to search around for all the tire changing parts. As was my day was going I shouldn't have been surprise that I was missing the lug wrench. We also realized the spare tire was stuck underneath the car and would not come ajar. Rick had all ready cut his finger trying to get the jack out and was bleeding some. We were attracting some attention and found Devon, a girl I work with who had a similar car as mine. She was super nice and said we could use her lug wrench and her spare tire. WOW! So, Rick went right to work. Moving tires here and there, fixing things. After a long battle, he figured out how to get my spare unhooked from underneath... this of course was after we had all ready gotten Devon's tire off her car. So, he put that one back on her car and attempt to fix mine. He took off the hub cap and we found another issue. The lug wrench was too big to take off the tire lug nuts. We asked a few other people if they had a lug wrench we could borrow, but alas, none of them fit. By this time we had picked up another friendly helper, a Systems Engineer by the name of Dave. He barely knows me, yet he stopped to help. We decided to go buy the lug wrench at a dealership close by. Both guys had been working hard.... laying down on the dirty ground and had becomne VERY dirty. That didn't bother them, they were on a mission.... to fix my tire.
Of course when we got to the dealership, they didn't have the part, so we had to drive another 20 miles or so to the other dealership. Thankfully the second dealership had the part and we were headed back to the very flat tire. It was a piece of cake from there. The spare tire got put on, the flat one got taken off. It only took a little over 2 hours and I was back in business.
As I think back now, I wonder what would have happened had I been alone or not had Rick there with me. He had plenty of work to return to when we were all done, but not once did he ever complain. Not once did he want to give up!! And not once did he even get frustrated. Even though I am sure he would have loved to go home, take a shower and relax, he had to go back inside the building to finish up his work. He kept his cool and even better.... he kept me from losing it! I am so grateful for his help! What a hero!!

Craft Project

With the busy lives that Niel and I lead, there isn't much time for crafts these days. I remember in my younger days I spent too much time decorating the house. I found great enjoyment is my latest project. Not only was it fun but I bought everything on sale or clearance, which made the project even more fun. I found the wooden hanger piece on the clearance shelf at Ross. It was busted up some. I love sandpaper for these kinds of things. The frames were purchased at Roberts when they had their 40% off sale on unfinished woods products. I don't have tons of extra time, so this project took a while to finish. It was all worth it though. The end product turned out pretty good I think. Niel got the hardest part of all hanging the thing. He was so great to measure things out and make sure it was centered just perfect on the wall. He faced death as he scaled the banister. Check out the picture below.... what a brave man! My stomach was tied in knots as I watched him move back and forth handing him hammers, drills and nails. What a good man to please his ever so picky wife....laugh!
The craft itself looks good but what makes the entire wall hanging are the beautiful faces in those frames. I am reminded every day of the five little, sometimes crazy, burst of sunshine in our lives.

Happy Anniversary!

Dear Niel,

I remember our first date, our first kiss, our very first "I love you's." I remember how natural it felt to start out together, how comfortable we were despite all the crazy stuff that was happening around us. I loved getting to know you, enjoying you, and wondering where it would all lead.... and thinking about you all the time, knowing that I never, ever wanted to be without you! I guess that is the way life is. You're going along doing your everyday things, and out of the blue, life surprises you with something amazing... something you had no idea how much you wanted it to happen. Falling in love with you was something I hadn't expected, but being in love with you is something I couldn't stop... even if I tried.

I remember the day we got married. I never thought I could love you more than I did that day, but I was wrong. I keep discovering new reasons for loving you. You do so many things to make me happy, things you may not think I notice.... but I do. I can think of so many yesterdays made wonderful by your sharing, caring ways, and those memories make me look forward to our future.... for the longer we are together, the more our happiness grows.

We have been together for two years now. We've laughed and cried and seen each other through our best and worst and everything in between. Today, when I look at you, I feel even more in love with you then I ever have before. We have a life together, full of shared memories that keep us close. You are so much a part of me and a part of my happiness that it's impossible to imagine what life would have been like without you. You are my partner, my love, and my best friend.

We may be celebrating our anniversary today, but I feel my love for you every day of every year. When I think of you, my heart smiles. I feel our love in our small and simple pleasures and in the friendship and respect we share. I feel our love in the joy of knowing that we belong together. Some days I just look at you and I wish I had words beyond "I love you" ... words to show how much I cherish all the ways you've made my life so full. Yes, I know we are beyond the need for fancy words... but sometimes I am at a loss of words.
I wish I could tell you all the joy you make me feel, but that would take a lifelong love letter. You're my forever love, my forever friend... and I'm forever grateful you are mine. I love you babe!
